Groundhog Day is a cultural holiday that is celebrated in the United States on the 2nd February. It is said that if a groundhog emerges from and leaves its’ burrow on a cloudy day that winter is coming to an end. On the other hand, if it is a sunny day the groundhog will remain in its’ burrow and so the winter will not come to an end for a further six weeks.
