Hanukah, also known as Festival of Lights is an eight-day Jewish Holiday. According to the Hebrew Calendar, Hannukah is observed for Eight Nights starting on the 25th day of Kislev. Kindling the lights of a special Candelabrum which is nine branched known as Hanukiah marks the event. Eight branches signify Eight days of the festival and an extra light ‘Shamash’ is lit for the purpose of lighting souls.
